Summer Course 

The Balletto di Verona Summer Course, which is now in its 13th year, is an intensive dance program aimed at young male and female dancers aged 8 and above structured into various levels who wish to perfect their technique and enjoy an immersive training experience. This course offers the opportunity to study with qualified teachers and industry professionals in a stimulating and enriching environment.

Duration and Period
- The course lasts four weeks and you can choose to attend weekly. Participants will be divided into courses: 

beginners, intermediate and advanced. 

- Each week is structured with an intensive program of daily lessons from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday

 

Study Levels

- The Summer Course is open to dancers of different levels, from those with an intermediate base to the advanced, who wish to perfect themselves in a highly professional context.
- Students are divided into groups based on age and technical skills, to ensure that each one receives teaching suited to their abilities.

Study Programme
- Classical Dance: The heart of the course is classical dance, with daily lessons in barre technique, center technique, en pointe technique for girls and male technique for boys. 

- Classical Repertoire: Students have the opportunity to study and interpret variations taken from ballets of the great repertoire, such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Giselle, Talisman, Paquita, Bayadere, Nutcracker etc. 

- Contemporary Dance :  Alongside classical dance, the program includes contemporary dance classes, which help students develop fluidity, body expression and explore modern styles.

- Character Dance: the course offers the study of character dance, which enriches classical training with stylistic elements typical of folk and traditional dances, a now rare subject studied in very few international academies including the Balletto di Verona 
- Floor Barre: Floor exercises to improve flexibility, strength and body awareness.

Teachers and Special Guests
- The Summer Course is led by teachers from the Centro Professionale Balletto di Verona, often supported by internationally renowned guest masters. These teachers, from renowned ballet companies or academic schools, offer a rich and diverse vision of dance, allowing students to learn from different teaching styles and approaches.

Audition and Career Opportunities
- The Summer Course represents an opportunity for students to be noticed by teachers and artistic directors. Some particularly talented participants may be invited to continue their journey in the Verona Ballet and be prepared for auditions in professional dance academies or directly in companies for employment contracts.

Study environment
- The Summer Course takes place in the equipped rooms of the Verona Ballet, which offers a safe and professional environment for studying dance.
- The school is located in a culturally rich city like Verona, offering students the opportunity to explore the historical and artistic heritage of the city during their free time.

Registration 
- The Summer Course is open to dancers from all over the world, 
- Registrations are opened several months before the start of the course, in order to give the opportunity to organize accommodation in the city.
